Paul and I share some time together (and a glass of wine!) while decorating Hannah's birthday cake. We really had a good time talking and laughing.

The weekend after her birthday, we took Hannah, three of her friends, and Emma to Build-a-Bear where they all got to pick a favorite toy to stuff and dress. It was fun for all of us!
Afterwards, we headed back to the house for McDonald's, cake and presents. It was a very low-key party that was a nice change from the usual b'day chaos. I think everyone really enjoyed themselves. Jake, as usual, slept through the entire event!

Halloween

Jake got to experience his first Halloween with his sisters. He made it just long enough to take this picture and then went to bed! In case it's not obvious, he is Sebastian the crab to go along with Ariel aka Hannah. They all had a great time, but I think Paul enjoyed it the best. The neighbors were handing out Margaritas along the trick-or-treat path. Only in Louisiana, huh?!

What a cutie!!

Hannah chose to be Ariel this year, but refused to wear the matching wig.

Emma is a beautiful ballerina.

Jake's World

Jake LOVES bouncing in his new jumping toy. Sometimes I think he's going to bounce it up off the floor!

He's getting stronger and holding himself up very well. Mobility will be in our future probably sooner than I am ready!
Jake and Sadie size each other up.

"Aunt" Wally Comes Home from Iraq

In early October, Wally came back to Georgia, on leave from his tour of duty in Iraq. It was a wonderful - but far too brief- visit. He was able to meet Jake for the first time and do some male bonding. The girls also loved spending time with their beloved "Aunt" Wally. Emma stuck to him like glue and enjoyed (in this picture) "helping" him with a presentation he did for our church. He is now back overseas and we are all counting the days until his tour ends in February.

Adventures in Baby Food

As we enjoy trying new foods with Jake, I especially enjoy watching him with his LEAST favorites. Obviously, peas could have been scratched off HIS list!
