Daddy's Stealing Kisses!!!!

Hi Mommy!

My two favorite men are conspiring about man stuff!

I'll share a kiss, Dad, but don't tell Momma. She might get jealous!

Not there, not there!!! It's too much.

Jake's Baptism

My Precious Christmas Angels

On Sunday, December 16th my little "Cajun Baby" was baptized in Covington Presbyterian Church by Reverend Chan Willis. It was a wonderful, special occasion that was just beautiful. I worried all day Saturday that Jake would scream his head off but much to my surprise and delight, he didn't make a peep! He seemed to actually enjoy looking over our church family from the front of the church. Chan even walked him around the sanctuary for everyone to enjoy.

Bathtime Boy!

Jake absolutely LOVES bathtime. He starts kicking those legs and squealing the minute he sees the water running in the tub. I finally had to move his tub down into the big tub because he was kicking so much water out onto the floor. I can't think of anything more fun than enjoying this time in his life.

Paul and I share some time together (and a glass of wine!) while decorating Hannah's birthday cake. We really had a good time talking and laughing.

The weekend after her birthday, we took Hannah, three of her friends, and Emma to Build-a-Bear where they all got to pick a favorite toy to stuff and dress. It was fun for all of us!
Afterwards, we headed back to the house for McDonald's, cake and presents. It was a very low-key party that was a nice change from the usual b'day chaos. I think everyone really enjoyed themselves. Jake, as usual, slept through the entire event!

Halloween

Jake got to experience his first Halloween with his sisters. He made it just long enough to take this picture and then went to bed! In case it's not obvious, he is Sebastian the crab to go along with Ariel aka Hannah. They all had a great time, but I think Paul enjoyed it the best. The neighbors were handing out Margaritas along the trick-or-treat path. Only in Louisiana, huh?!

What a cutie!!

Hannah chose to be Ariel this year, but refused to wear the matching wig.

Emma is a beautiful ballerina.

Jake's World

Jake LOVES bouncing in his new jumping toy. Sometimes I think he's going to bounce it up off the floor!

He's getting stronger and holding himself up very well. Mobility will be in our future probably sooner than I am ready!
Jake and Sadie size each other up.

"Aunt" Wally Comes Home from Iraq

In early October, Wally came back to Georgia, on leave from his tour of duty in Iraq. It was a wonderful - but far too brief- visit. He was able to meet Jake for the first time and do some male bonding. The girls also loved spending time with their beloved "Aunt" Wally. Emma stuck to him like glue and enjoyed (in this picture) "helping" him with a presentation he did for our church. He is now back overseas and we are all counting the days until his tour ends in February.

Adventures in Baby Food

As we enjoy trying new foods with Jake, I especially enjoy watching him with his LEAST favorites. Obviously, peas could have been scratched off HIS list!

Jake Eats Cereal

Jake starts out by trying out his new highchair.

Last week, Jake got to try cereal for the first time. Despite being the third child, it was still so much fun. It was just awesome watching him experience something new. He acted, however, as if he'd done it a hundred times before! No funny faces.....just miles of smiles as if he'd been waiting for the moment.
First Daddy gets a turn....

then Emma gets a turn.....

Finally, Hannah gets a turn.
Wheeee, Dad! More, more...this is awesome!

Oh Boy - This stuff rocks!!

What do you mean it's all gone??!

Jake Meets the Wilson Clan

After the UGA game , we headed over to Chalybeate to see Nana and let Jake have a chance to meet his great grandmother.
Nana and Jake get a chance to get to know each other. Jake is still worn out from our Athens tail-gating!

Aunt Sara and Jake bond over breakfast.

Uncle James and Jake share some together time.

Nana and the girls get cozy.

Emma finds a nice place to nap on Bobo's lap.

Ballerina Emma

After months of waiting, it was finally time for Emma to attend her very first ballet lesson. Since I grew up dancing, I think I was just as excited as she was. Her teacher, Ms. Maryan, was just wonderful! Very professional and structured in a very classic setting. Emma struggled a litte with the foot positions, but did great with tap. We can't wait to see how she progresses.

Emma practices ballet positions. She told me after class was over that it was hard and didn't want to go back! I think I've convinced her, though, to give it another shot. Either way, she sure was cute!!

GO DAWGS!!

Jake and I take a little breather from all the activity.

Hannah and her friend SaraAshley enjoy some time together, playing on her bunk.

My friend, Katherine, and I spend some time catching up.

Emma and Jake get some snuggle time.

For the opening game of the UGA season, we loaded up the RV (our dog included!) and headed to Athens. It was a fun time and we got to visit with some friends as well. Overnight tail-gating in Athens was like nothing I've ever experienced. Let's just say there actually other UGA fans that are more fanatical than Paul!

Happy Birthday, Paul!

For Paul's 34th birthday, we had a low-key celebration and headed to Pizza Man. This is a local place that makes great pizza and is Paul's favorite place to eat. They have a glass window into the kitchen so the children can watch the pizza being made. It's a lot of fun and very entertaining.

Hannah holds up Emma so they can both enjoy the pizza show.

Jake wishes Daddy a happy birthday.

Birthday wishes from a three-year old!
